“So you think that money is the root of all evil. Have you ever asked what is the root of all money?”
--- Francisco’s Money Speech, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
“The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed -- for lack of a better word -- is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary creative spirit. Greed, in all of its forms -- greed for life, for success, for love, for knowledge -- has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed -- you mark my words -- will not only save Creative Culture, but that other malfunctioning culture called the American culture.”
--- adapted from Gordon Gekko’s Greed Speech, WallStreet
A war is waged. It isn’t between mainstream success and underground love. It isn’t between the strong and weak. It isn’t between good and evil. It is a war for creativity. We fail to realize that less than 1% of the world’s population propels us to the next level of creative awareness. Ask yourself, how do the individuals in the 1% do it? Creativity alone isn’t enough. Creativity plus the desire to share this creation isn’t enough. These two elements with a well-calculated strategy that is calibrated with an effective delivery will place you closer to the one percent. Francisco and Gordon Gekko expressed two powerful thoughts surrounding “drive.” Imagine a world where the most motivated and agile thinkers stopped.... They literally stopped contributing to the world, stopped learning, stopped teaching, stopped innovating, stopped creating, stopped being greedy for whatever drives them to do what they do. What if they shrugged the world off their shoulders? Would we as a culture, American to Global, be ready to pick ourselves up to increase the cultural intelligence of our race?
Underground Live recognizes genius needs to be constantly cultivated and fused into the perpetual motion that progresses society. It needs to draw a blueprint, so others are able to contribute their creativity and skills. Underground Live is about empowerment. The greed for self-empowerment is what drives trend setters. The greed for self-realization is what drives creativity. We want people to become greedy for enlightenment. We want people to say, “I cannot get enough culture, enough creativity, enough innovation, enough knowledge, enough capital to court culture.”
Underground Live knows culture is not static. It is exponentially evolving. Creative greed fuels the evolution of culture. Cultural architects are greedy with thoughts of building something new, something that expresses their souls, something that is purely them.
What inflames your greed?
